Everything's Coming Up Rosie!

Okay, so we decided to finally get with the program and start a photo blog for our beloved Rosemary. You may also find the occasional pic of Sam or Harry if they accidentally got in the frame when we were trying to snap photos of the beautiful wunderkind. Enjoy!

At the Park

It was a very good day.

Eating

Ain't she sweet? She's my little Buddha!

Warning: Unrelated to Rosemary

(Ed. note: Rosemary was sleeping at the time these photos were taken. But sometimes you just have to publish the occasional diversion. Hence: Harry and his little friend Kate on my swingset in the backyard. Please take notice of the fact that she is wearing a tutu.)

Carousel at the Pier!

We went to a birthday party at the Santa Monica Pier Carousel, where Sam took Rosemary on a horsey ride (above). I took Harry (below)! Poor Jim just took the photos.

Around the House

Just photos showing how Rose is Miss Standy-Crawly-But-No-Walkie Pants. She's around 10 months here. PS, in the bottom pic, she is making her characteristic growly noise, hence the inimitable facial expression.

Post Helmet Day

Our Rosemary is now the proud owner of a cranial orthotic helmet, worn 23 hours a day to correct her plagiocephaly (flat spot). Most people say you can't even tell she has a flat spot (it's in the back, on one side), and that her hair will grow out and cover it. But as my sister said, "What if she wants to shave her head someday, like you did?" On a more serious note, plagiocephaly can also affect the jawline and vision and lead to facial assymmetry, among other things.

PS, this helmet was by far the best design available, other than Hospital White. She looks pretty smart in purple butterflies! (Which is a good thing, since she'll be wearing this special hat for the next 4-6 months...)

Day Before Helmet Day

Rosemary and Harry playing on Mommy's bed.

(Yes, that is a line of drool coming out of her mouth in the picture below.)

Bath Time!

Who doesn't love it?

Especially in the sink!
With Harry's elephant towel to make the experience complete.

Movie Night

Harry and Rosemary chow down on some kettle corn with Daddy while watching God knows which Star Wars movie (Harry is obsessed with Star Wars).

Some Older Photos (November? October?)

Christmas Card Redux

This is the photo we chose not to print on the Christmas card, because it was the general consensus that Rosemary looked like she had 18 chins. Still, Lorna complained that she never got a picture of Rosemary smiling, so I sent her one.

Note the new scooter! Harry is stylin'.
