Post Helmet Day

Our Rosemary is now the proud owner of a cranial orthotic helmet, worn 23 hours a day to correct her plagiocephaly (flat spot). Most people say you can't even tell she has a flat spot (it's in the back, on one side), and that her hair will grow out and cover it. But as my sister said, "What if she wants to shave her head someday, like you did?" On a more serious note, plagiocephaly can also affect the jawline and vision and lead to facial assymmetry, among other things.PS, this helmet was by far the best design available, other than Hospital White. She looks pretty smart in purple butterflies! (Which is a good thing, since she'll be wearing this special hat for the next 4-6 months...)
